Body Solutions Approach
NUTRITION
At Body Solutions, we know that an abundance of information exists on proper nutrition and most people have a hard time choosing the path that is best for them. We keep it very simple.

Two rules tell us all we need to know:
-
If you eat 1500 calories in a day and burn off 1500 calories a day, your weight will stay the same. Substitute any number of calories you want, it will always hold true.
-
If you want to lose one pound, you have to burn 3500 more calories than you eat. If you want to gain a pound you have to eat 3500 more calories than you burn.
How we make it work:
At Body Solutions, we take these two rules and create the right nutrition plan for you. Losing weight or gaining weight is that simple, it’s not that easy but it’s that simple.
Our body knows one thing, food=fuel and a decision needs to be made – is your body a Bentley or a Jalopy? We want to make sure that everyone has a good balance between proteins, carbohydrates, fats and especially fruits and vegetables. Don’t just think about food as good or bad, create a scale: bad, good, better, best. Be the Bentley!
EXERCISE
Exercise has two great benefits:
- It is the tool that we use to shape and tone the body. Science says that if we give a muscle a specific stress or load, it will adapt to that specific stress or load.
- It burns calories – this goes right along with your nutrition plan and the food you eat. Exercise and nutrition are linked, your body uses food for fuel and once that is gone it moves on to fat. We like to burn fat!
What does that mean to you? If you have a specific look you want, you need to train for that look. Just because someone else is doing something, it doesn’t mean it is right for you. Doing crunches isn’t going to flatten your stomach, science says so.
PLANNING
It seems silly to most people, but this is where a regimen usually falls apart. ACCOUNTABILITY
Nutrition – we start every client out with a nutrition lesson and food journaling. From this point, we continue to teach and practice. You will probably just settle for one slice of pizza instead of the whole pie when you know you will have to explain it on Monday.
